Q: What are your letting days?
A: Lets can start on any day of the week you wish, however, there is a minimum 2 night stay. Use the calendar on the booking page to check each apartment/cottage's availability or alternatively call 0870 080 2980. Q: What time is check-in/check-out? A: You can check into your accommodation from 3pm to 8pm. Should you wish to check-in outside of these times then please request this by calling 0870 080 2980 or send us an email. When arriving go to reception where you can sign in & collect your keys. Latest checkout is 10am. Q: What happens if I need to cancel my booking?
A: Please refer to our cancellation policy in our terms & conditions page.
Q: What happens if I need to change my booking? Q: Do I have to pay for any of the bills? A: Electricity(daily allowance of 40 units peak;50 units off-peak), water & local tax charges are included. Q: Do I need to pay any deposit for the Apartment/Cottage?
A: There is a key & security deposit of £50 payable on arrival. The deposit will be returned at the end of your stay, subject to any necessary deductions outlined in these FAQs & in the Terms & Conditions. Q: Are Pets welcome?
A: 1 pet is permitted in 'Lewis' & 'Tolkien' cottages only. A £100 security deposit is payable. Q: Are there any other charges? A: If a daily clean is required an additional £6 per day is chargeable. (This comprises of making of beds and a basic clean of the accommodation). Please request this facility when booking. Q: What happens if there are any accidental damages?
A: Please report all damages immediately to reception where damages can be assessed and charged, if necessary.
Q: What bed linen is supplied? A: Quality bed linen and towels are provided. Should you require any additional bed linen, please ask at reception. If your stay is for more than a week then bed linen/towels will be changed every 7 days.
Q: Is there access for the disabled? A: The cottage Lewis has a ramp for wheelchair access although it should be noted the bathroom contains a shower only & does not have support bars. The apartments Halley & Churchill are on the ground floor & would be suitable for some wheelchair users. If you would like to discuss suitability then please call us on 0870 080 2980. Q: Is there parking available at the accommodation? A: There is adequate parking for 2 cars per apartment/cottage in the car park. Please note, however, Chilton Apartments & Cottages accept no responsibility for loss or damage to vehicles parked in the car park. Q: Do you allow hen or stag parties?
A: Sorry due to the quiet nature of the village no such parties are allowed.
