Terms & Conditions
 

These are the general Terms & Conditions which covers general payment and booking terms.
When making a booking, guests are required to pay the full balance when booking.
Payments can be made by credit/debit card or bank transfer.  If the supplied credit/debit card is declined the booking will not be processed. Cheques can be accepted but must be cleared funds at least 1 week prior to arrival.

Clients may reinstate his or her reservation, however rates and availability cannot be guaranteed.  An additional security deposit may be required for some Apartments/Cottages for protection against unforeseen damage to the property and/or
its contents. Security deposits, if applicable, will be taken at the time of booking.   Security deposits will be returned within 7 days of checkout (subject to any deductions as a result of damage/loss).   Deductions are solely at the discretion of Chilton Apartments & Cottages
 

All reservations are subject to a minimum two day stay.  For stays of 3 days or less Chilton Apartments cannot guarantee the guests prefered accommodation.  Guests will be notified of any changes prior to check-in.
 

Prices & Payments

On arrival a £50 key & security deposit is payable. This is returned at the end of the stay subject to any deductions. 
All rates are fully inclusive of electricity, water & local taxes. 

Rates are based on a nightly rate; however the Apartments/cottages can be pro-rated for longer stays.  Prices may be subject to change, however, when accommodation has been paid in full, there will be no change to the booked price.  A valid credit/debit card must be provided on booking.
 For 28 day discounted rates all payments MUST be made in full & be cleared funds by the commencement date. Failure to do this will result in Chilton Apartments & Cottages reserving the right to charge for the accommodation at the standard nightly rate.


 

Arrival / Departure Times

Apartment & Cottage Bookings - Check-in time for bookings is from 3:00pm till 8.00pm.  Should you wish to arrive outside of these times then please inform us by email at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it   or by calling 0870 080 2980.  Latest Check-out time is 10:00am.
Please note that in case a guest has not vacated the reserved property by check out time, a 'late check out' fee of £30 will be charged without prior notice.
 

Key Collection

Key collection can be made from reception upon arrival.
Please note that loss of keys will result in a charge of £40.


Confirmations

Chilton Apartments cannot be found liable if a client does not receive a confirmation due to IT issues, i.e. - client supplying wrong email address or full mailboxes.  In case the client has not received a confirmation 24 hours after the booking has been made, it will be the responsibility of the client to contact Chilton Apartments to receive an update on the status of his or her reservation. 

Damages

Any damages caused during a guest's stay should be reported immediately. The guest will be liable for any damages & any charges will be the Guest's sole Liability.

The organiser of the holiday (original booking name) warrants that guests will indemnify Chilton Apartments & Cottages against all loss or damage arising directly or indirectly to the accommodation and its contents from any act or default by guests or any person or pet accompanying the guest.

Any damages/loss to vehicles
parked at the accommodation is solely the responsibilty of the guest.

Cancellations & Amendments

In the event of cancellation after your booking has been accepted by us, then we impose the following charges:
14 days or more prior to arrival: Refund of full payment less £20 administration charge(for refunds to non-UK accounts additional charges may be incurred).
7-13 days prior to arrival: Refund of 50% of payment.
0-6 days prior to arrival: No Refund.
In case of date amendments (changing arrival or departure dates) the above cancellation conditions will apply should there not be the required availability.  Any amendments may be subject to rate changes.

We reserve the right to amend prices or to change accommodation without notice due to circumstances beyond our control.  Chilton Apartments takes all reasonable care to ensure that the information supplied on the website is accurate, however, we cannot guarantee its accuracy and we reserve the right to change this information at any time.  Property information including, but without limitation, property details, photographs is intended as a guidance only and should not be construed as statements of fact.

Chilton Apartments makes no representations or warranties of any kind with respect to the website or the content contained on it, including any text, graphics, advertisements, links or other items.
Save in respect of liability for death or personal injury arising out of negligence or for fraudulent misrepresentation, we and all contributors to the website hereby disclaim to the fullest extent permitted by law all liability for any loss or damage including any consequential or indirect loss or damage incurred by the guest, whether arising in contract or otherwise.


Chilton Apartments will not be held responsible in any way for loss and/or damage to any personal belongings at the apartment nor will it be liable for the acts or defaults caused by third parties.  Guests are advised to ensure their own insurance policies to cover loss or damage to personal property during their stay.  Any personal property left in residents vehicles is done so at the owners own sole risk.

Chilton Apartments reserve the right to terminate with immediate effect, any agreements with parties resident in officiated properties in the event of conduct deemed as anti-social, immoral, improper, or illegal.  Remittance will not be offered in any such event.  Legal action will be taken where necessary. Investigation of such matters will be conducted on an individual basis.

These Terms & Conditions and use of website are governed exclusively by UK law.


Cancellations / Amendments - General

We cannot guarantee that any requests for amendments or changes in dates will be satisfied without cost.
Refunds may take up to 21 working days due to financial authorizations.
