What is the difference between your standard rates and serviced rates?

Our standard rates are for guests who do not wish for the accommodation to be cleaned on a daily basis. For the standard rate it is the guests sole responsibility to keep the accommodation in a clean & tidy manner and on check-out to return it in the condition they found it. Our serviced option is for guests who would like the accommodation cleaned on a daily basis. Towels are also included with this option.

Is there a specific start/end day when staying?

No, you can start and end your stay on any date you wish (subject to availability). All we require is a minimum 2 night stay (except peak summer + Christmas periods).

When do we check in/collect the keys?

Check in is any time between 3pm-8pm. On arrival please go to reception where you can collect your keys. Check out is by 10am.

Is there parking at the premises?

Yes we have a private secure car park (CCTV in operation). There is space for 2 cars per apartment/cottage. Extra parking may be possible on request. Please note: Chilton Apartments & Cottages accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to vehicles parked at the premises.

What happens if I need to cancel my booking?

Please refer to our cancellation policy in our Terms & Conditions.

Does the rate include all bills & taxes?

All electricity, water & taxes are included for stays up to & including 7 nights. For stays of 8 nights + there is a generous daily allowance of electricity usage of 60 peak rate units & 40 off-peak rate units. Charges for excess usage are explained in our Terms & Conditions.

When is payment due? Do I need to pay any deposit for the apartment/cottage?

Payment is due in full at least 6 weeks prior to arrival. There is a refundable £50 key/security deposit payable on arrival (cash £ sterling or euros accepted). This deposit is returned at the end of your stay subject to any necessary deductions outlined in our Terms & Conditions. If booking a long time in advance we may request the key/security deposit to secure the booking.

Are pets welcome?

Some pets may be considered (please state when enquiring). There will be an additional charge of £5 per pet per night. We also request a £100 security deposit on arrival.

Is bed linen is provided?

Quality bed linen is provided. We do not supply towels.

Is there disabled access?

Lewis Cottage has a ramp for wheelchair access although there is limited access in the bathroom (please enquire). The ground floor Churchill & Halley apartments are suitable for some wheelchair users. Please visit the 'Access Statement' page on this website.

Do you allow hen & stag parties?

Sorry but due to the quiet nature of the village no such parties are allowed.
