| We have just had a lovely short break in Halley Appartments with our Austrian family. Lucy our grandaughter loved the freedom she could have on the ground floor.We were also ideally situated for visiting all our Oxford relations.Sheila was very helpful and we liked meeting her friendly dogs.Thankyou and we hope we can return.

| just spent a wonderful weekend in one of your fabulous, clean, homely, warm cottages. all we could want and more, fantastic. we bought our dog ziggy who loved all the lovely walks, it really was fantastic so thank you.

We recently spent a couple of days in Churchill apartment and had a very warm welcoming from Sheila. We spent a very good time there, and just "felt at home". Thanks a lot for everything. The apartment is very comfortable and well furnished. For sure we will come back !

| I picked the Chilton apartments for 8 members of my company to stay in, as we were exhibiting at a show at the nearby Newbury Showgrounds. The accommodation was great and affordable set in a very quaint sleepy village. Sheila was a great host and looked after us all. She has done a huge amount of work refurbishing the buildings to the high standard they are now. We were so pleased, we have booked in for next yr also. Also dont forget to call and se Sé the landlord of the local pub Rose & Crown as his hospitality was equally great for both Food and Drink. That again, was on Sheila's recommendation.

Just a quick note to say THANK YOU for a recent stay at your cottage Tolkien.
It was a pleasure to be welcomed so warmly ( that even included Winston and the other dogs !).
The restoration of the property has been done with a great deal of thought and more importantly love and care.The Exterior is an fine example of past master masons ,restored to a fitting standard.The interiors have been created with a eye for relaxed comfort and details abound.
We would happy recommend anyone to stay,We can pay the Management and property no higher complment than by saying we would stay there again anytime,provided we can get a booking !!

| Our stay at Chilton Apartments was just great and proved to be centrally located to all we needed to see and do. Although we only had a 2 week stay it was simply great. Loved the individual attention we recieved and the chats about the property in general. The host is an amazing source of information and is always willing to share! Accomodations were spacious and very comfortable! Loved the area and people, couldnt be more pleased! Thanks for a wonderful vacation spot and the enlightening information on the buliding!

My stay in Hawking Apartment in Chilton was for four months, from Sept to Dec 2010, when I was in the UK on sabbatical from Australia. The apartment was fully furnished, very spacious and well appointed, and the village of Chilton was picture-postcard perfect with its very own pub just a short walk from the apartment. Handy on a cold winter?s night! There are many other beautiful Oxfordshire villages nearby, some having featured in British TV series such as Inspector Morse, Lewis, Midsomer Murders etc. Many weekends were spent exploring the surrounds, and walking the abundant public footpaths in the region, including the famous Ridgeway.
Originally, the reason I chose to stay at Chilton Apartments was that it is so conveniently located to Harwell Science Centre where I was based for those four months. However, I soon found that it was also convenient to just about anywhere in the south of England. Chilton is located right on the A34 between the M4 and the M40, so it's easy to travel in any direction. The dreaming spires of Oxford are a short drive up the A34; and Salisbury, Stonehenge, Bath, Cotswolds, Blenheim Palace, Rugby and Winchester, amongst others, are within easy reach. To travel further afield, Chilton is also handily placed to the major rail interchange of Didcot; and the train journey into London is just 45 min. Didcot also boasts a range of supermarkets, restaurants and High St stores.
Hawking apartment itself is very cosily furnished, and with bedroom, lounge (including flat screen TV), kitchen, bathroom and study (including internet), I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly this became my home away from home. No doubt this feeling was helped by having such a delightful landlady: Sheila was welcoming from the start, ever ready with local knowledge when it was needed, and she speedily and pleasantly looked after any little problems that arose ? not that there were many. I can?t think of anywhere I would rather stay in this area, and I am very much looking forward to my next visit.

| We stayed at Chilton Apartments for a week during our holiday in U.K. It was a wonderful place to stay at. The apartment and the atmosphere was great. The village pub was a nice place to go to after a busy day in London and the owner was very friendly. The church is worth a visit - we felt very welcome. Sheila?s hospitality is really something extraordinary. Thank you very much for everything. Chilton apartments is a perfect place to stay at! We made daytrips by train to Oxford, Stonehedge, Bath and London.

| Thanks very much Sheila for your hospitality and warm welcome. We enjoyed our stay at the Halley apartment very much. It is a perfect apartment, with al lot of space, nicely furnished and a clean house. Within one hour driving from Chilton, we visited a lot of beautiful places. We went to Blenheim palace, Oxford, Stourhead gardens and Stratford upon Avon. We shall come back, that's for sure. We wish you all the best!

| Unfortunately we only booked a few day at Chilton Apartments towards the end of our holiday. Had we known how fantastic staying in "Rutherford Cottage" would be we would have rearranged our itinerary. Not only was the apartment spacious, "old world" and a joy to stay in, the village atmosphere terrific, but most importantly the hospitality and "can't do enough for you" attitude shown by Sheila made our stay absolutely memorable. For a stay/holiday to remember we would certainly recommend Chilton Apartments. Sheila we are sure the apartments/cottages will be a success story.
