STICK THE TAIL ON THE DONKEY!!
Choosing the 'right' location for a business is pretty crucial especially if you're in the business of accommodation. There's no point in having a swanky hotel or guest house if no one goes there! Now that might sound pretty obvious but often options are limited. 5 years ago we decided to find a spot that was the 'right' location - we even looked at the map! With pin in hand a spot halfway between Oxford & Newbury just kept blinking out at us! Why? well it looked like it was the most central point of the South of England! Of course there's probably no such thing but I challenge anyone to look at a map of the South of England and what I mean by that is draw an imaginary line East to West through England that would slice Birmingham in half. Now pick a spot you'd consider in the middle. I bet Chilton isn't too far away! We are 8 miles north of the M4, we are 25 mins from Oxford City Centre, we are an hour from Stonehenge, Avebury & Bath. We are 45 mins away from Windsor Castle and less than an hour from London Heathrow! Can you see the pattern here! In the other direction we are just 40 mins from the delights of The Cotswolds.
So I rest my case (or hope you'll rest yours at Chilton!). If you need accommodation on a long term or a short term let that's convenient for Newbury, Oxford, Bath, Windsor & even London at affordable rates with flexible start dates then we're the place for you!
Perhaps we're not so much the donkey's tail but more like the midriff!
